Episode 14- Freak Out Drive-In: Alien

Pull into the Freak Out Drive-In, a live watch horror podcast with host Jennifer Smith. In the spacey seventeenth episode, Jenny hosts Matt Souza to watch Alien.

Directed by Ridley Scott in 1979, Alien was a monster (get it?!) hit and is one of Matt's favorite movies.  Jenny and Matt discuss the pleasing sci-fi aesthetics, cats in space, Jenny's Space Camp experiences, movie trivia, smoking in space, Tang and so much more! New year, new guest - and he's a first-timer! Talk'n Pop keeps it hot and fresh by welcoming (and gently breaking in) podcast virgin Shawn Kidd for the usual chicanery. Geek and Sassy #42: Tingle Tales

In this festive episode, Jenny and Mirandia jump things off with a spoilery discussion of 2015's Krampus. They also mention another holiday classic from 1938, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Things take quite a turn when the ladies review Pounded In The Butt By The Handsome Physical Manifestation of Holiday Shopping by the Hugo Award winning author Chuck Tingle. In this decidedly NSFW (without headphones, anyway) critique, Jenny and Mirandia are in turns delighted, baffled, amused, aroused and confused by this unconventional tale of the stress of rampant commercialism.
